St Mabyn, Pub Lunch Walk
A lovely walk across fields and small country lanes. Halfway through, you walk through the Pencarrow Estate wandering along their main drive. Enjoyable and easy with a few ups and downs. The highlight of the walk was definitely St Mabyn Inn. What a gorgeous pub, had a really strong locals vibe, I imagine this place is the heart of the village and the carvery was fabulous. I am not a fan of carveries at all; bland veg, dry meat, weak gravy. St Mabyn’s was a world away from that. The meats were juicy, the range of vegetable was huge and they were all so tasty and the two gravies were divine.
Really friendly hosts, dogs welcomed and a roaring fire. What on earth else do you want from a pub?
