Oh, this was a goodie. Honestly I’m amazed I went. I don’t see the point of yoga. I’ve tried it twice, both times it failed to grab me but a free Yoga in the Park scheme has started up recently and Steve wanted to give it a go. There are several in Cornwall, we went to the one at Par playing fields.
The sky was blue, the air was warm, the football players weren’t too close, although the referee was a bit twitchy and so we got downward dog to it. The instructor was really good, everyone at their own pace and lots of small basic moves. Perfect.
I was surprised by the range of people, honestly I’d expected it to be full of women of a certain age. But there were lots of men, young mothers with their toddlers climbing over them. Pregnant ladies, groups of friends, and if that sounds like a lot of people, it was. Over a hundred!
I did enjoy myself and I discovered lots of sore parts on my body which I’m going to have to deal with, but honestly, I find yoga so difficult. Lying still? It’s impossible. Emptying my mind of thoughts? Not a hope.
We’ve gone a few times now, Steve is really enjoying it. I’m keeping him company. And trying not to fidget.
